Smithville, Missouri, USA
Woke this morning to more snow falling gently, covering the tracks made yesterday. By early afternoon the sun was shining and the snow was sparkling brightly. Occasional gusts of wind blew the snow off the roof, looking like a little shower of diamonds in the air. The shadows cast are deep blue contrasting starkly with the pristine whiteness. The world seems to have been quietened by the snow, like a dampener has been placed over the countryside.
