Rosslyn, Virginia, DC
The second blizzard in a week and venturing out was like going on a polar expedition. The wind is gusting at 30 miles an hour and the snow is blinding as it swirls around like a maelstrom. Visibility is down to about half a block. Beneath our feet the snow hides the ice of compressed snow from the weekend that has frozen into a solid sheet of ice.

Potomac River from Key Bridge, between Rosslyn VA, and Georgetown, DC, USA
Icy wind blowing down the river, freezing all in it's path. The Potomac River was covered in ice with a blanket of snow, from the Virginia shoreline to Georgetown. Small breaks in the ice showed the grey water with little wind-created ripples that lapped at the ice edges.
